An eminent oral & maxillofacial surgeon and oral Implantologist with over 26 years of experience, he is recognized for his expertise and experience in trauma care, orthognathic surgeries, dental implant-based full-mouth rehabilitations and digital protocols in dentistry, implantology and maxillo facial surgery.
He holds diplomate certification in implantology from Indian Society of Oral Implantologists (DISOI), as well as International Congress of Oral Implantologists (DICOI). He secured his PhD from delhi university in the subject, “accuracy levels of digital protocols in oral implantology”
He was past president of Indian Academy of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry (IAACD). He is one of the global ambassadors for Digital Dentistry Society (DDS-International) and one of the founder members of Association of Digital Dentistry in Asia (ADDA).
He is a key opinion leader for dental industry leaders like Dentsply-Sirona, Megagen and he is recognised and titled as Ambassador- MINEC ( Megagen International Network for Education and Research).
He is the managing director and chief surgeon of Kamala Dental Super Specialty Hospital, an NABH-accredited, internationally acclaimed dental hospital located in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram - capital city of Kerala - India. This hospital won the Best Dental Hospital title in 2022 and ‘Digital Dental Practice of the year award’ from Famdent in 2024
Committed to excellence in clinical practice and patient care, Dr.Chandran also serves as a Senior Consultant maxillofacial surgeon in advanced trauma centres like SP Medifort, PRS, and GG Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. He previously reigned as an Associate professor in department of dentistry at SMCSI Medical College Kerala.
His contributions to dentistry have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement Award- in 2018, Famdent Specialist Dentist-Oral Implantology (2019), and Famdent Star Excellence Award in 2025.
His family includes Dr Binitha Segin, Senior Gynaecologist and a budding dentist Dr.Aardra.
